Welcome to Eastbourne AM Rotary Club Eastbourne AM began when a group of around 40 people including existing Rotarians decided to set up a new breakfast club. After some months of meeting informally they formalised the group by applying to become a new Rotary Club.
In the summer of 2001 Eastbourne AM Rotary Club was inaugurated with Founder President Melanie Adams at the helm. We are different from many Rotary Clubs in that we attract an extremely diverse membership in terms of age range with both younger and more mature members. We are also a mixed Club welcoming both men and women. We are delighted to have been chosen as one of Rotary International's 200 clubs worldwide to shape new Rotary. We have a great understanding of the pressures of mixing work and home lives and Eastbourne AM sets its guidelines to encourage active members. The Rotary 200 project has been extended to the year 2007 to give the chosen 200 clubs time to foster their new regimes and set the benchmarks for Rotary of the future. Eastbourne AM is committed to helping worthwhile causes in Eastbourne, in the UK and around the world. Through strong friendships and a desire to get involved, we search out new projects to support, promote and enhance. A new perspective on helping others. Eastbourne AM depends on the commitment of existing members and the enthusiasm of visitors and guests. As a visitor, you can expect a warm welcome, lively conversation and an insight into the charitable work of our Club. Add to that an inspirational speaker and a delicious cooked breakfast, and you have enough reasons to give up an hour of your time. We look forward to seeing you at a future meeting. |
